What research says
Studies in people
-
Open question
Growth in malnourished children2
In malnourished children, adding skimmed milk powder to food aid may help weight gain and growth, but this is not yet proven.
Animal and lab studies only
-
Open question
Probiotic soy processing3
In lab studies, skimmed milk powder helped probiotic bacteria change soy isoflavones into aglycones more than soymilk alone did.
The signal at the top counts the findings in people and in animal and lab studies. A concern in studies of people outranks animal and lab studies, and “No concerns” needs at least two findings in people. Findings whose study type is not stated are shown but not counted.
